My Qualifications for Doing Pre-retirement Programs
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, retirement coach, and retiree. I had a private clinical practice in State College, PA for over 25 years. During that time I also developed and administered Employee Assistance Programs for four of State College's largest employers - Supelco (now Sigma-Aldrich), Centre Community Hospital (now Mount Nittany Medical Center), HRB Systems (now Raytheon), and the State College Area School District.
I retired in 2005 without knowing that being prepared financially for retirement was only part of what's needed for retirement success and fulfillment. After becoming certified as a retirement coach, I reopened on a part-time basis my clinical psychology practice, with an additional emphasis on pre-retirement coaching and education.
During my programs, LESSONS IN RETIRMENT - The View from the Other Side, prospective retirees gain many of the critical skills and knowledge they need in order to have a comfortable adjustment to their new life in retirement and a successful and enriching retirement in the future. I also share my own and other retirees experience of adjusting to retirement.
